Unit Head – Credit Card Reconciliation Job at Bank of Punjab, Lahore

Overview

The Bank of Punjab invites applications for the position of Unit Head – Credit Card Reconciliation (Operations Group) in its Credit Cards & Digital Banking Operations Division. The Lahore-based position is graded from Band-5 to Band-3. The bank states that it has operated in Pakistan for more than 35 years and has a network of over 900 branches nationwide.

Major Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily, weekly and monthly reconciliation of credit card and merchant settlements, MDR, interchange fees, processor statements and internal General Ledger accounts.
• Oversee issuing operations involving cardholder transactions and acquiring operations involving merchant settlements and POS networks, including reconciliation of scheme charges and vendor invoices.
• Maintain communication with Visa, MasterCard, UPI, settlement banks and third-party processors.
• Monitor daily transactions to detect, investigate and escalate potential misuse, system errors or unauthorized charges.
• Work with vendors, IT and core banking teams to identify systemic processing flaws or errors.
• Lead automation initiatives that move manual tracking to a specialized reconciliation software platform.
• Provide regular training updates on card-network rules and operational controls.
• Prepare and present management reports covering ageing breaks, open risks and financial impacts.

Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification: Minimum bachelor’s or equivalent degree from an HEC-recognized local or foreign university.
• Experience: Minimum nine years of banking or non-banking experience.
• Age: Up to 55 years as of the application date.
