Overview
WAPDA, under its “Decade of Dams” banner, invites applications from suitable and eligible candidates for 38 vacancies against the Balochistan (Open) quota. The recruitment covers 21 listed post entries in WAPDA divisions and projects at Chashma, Tarbela, Lahore, Mangla, Dasu and Hattian.

General Conditions
- Selection will be made through walk-in interviews, and candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of academics under the WAPDA Recruitment Policy/SOP.
- A one-time upper-age relaxation of five years, instead of the existing three years, is admissible for this recruitment.
- The upper age limit is relaxable by up to 10 years for government or WAPDA employees who have completed two years of regular service by the application closing date.
- Balochistan-domiciled WAPDA employees working on daily wages, contingent or Budget Estimate arrangements may receive special age relaxation equal to their years of WAPDA service. The advertisement gives the example of 30 years’ eligibility plus five years of service resulting in an eligibility age of 35 years.
- Age will be calculated on the closing date for applications.
- Serving WAPDA candidates must apply for an NOC through the WAPDA HR Division before the advertisement’s closing date. Government employees may apply through the proper channel and must produce the required NOC or permission.
- Educational certificates and degrees must be verified by HEC-recognized universities or the concerned boards and institutes. Original documents must be presented at the interview.
- Initial appointments will be on probation for one year, with regularization subject to satisfactory performance. Services may be ended without notice for unsatisfactory work or conduct during probation.
- Trained Graduate Teachers and Staff Nurses will be appointed on a contract or lump-sum basis and will not be regularized.
- People removed from service on disciplinary grounds, dismissed, or debarred from future employment are not eligible.
- WAPDA may withhold or cancel the recruitment process at any stage. The number of posts may be increased or decreased according to departmental requirements.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for interviews. Incomplete applications, incorrect information and applications received after the closing date will be rejected. Bogus information discovered during induction or later service will result in termination.
One-Time Skill Relaxation
The advertisement cites Federal Government approval conveyed through Establishment Division O.M. No. 2/5/2026-BEFC/001, dated 22.10.2026. For identified posts up to BPS-16 requiring trainable skills such as typing, shorthand or basic computer proficiency, a one-time relaxation permits candidates to acquire the prescribed skill during probation if they do not hold the required certification at initial appointment. Candidates must undertake at selection to obtain the skill through departmental on-the-job training. Proficiency will be assessed before confirmation, and failure to acquire it will be handled under the applicable probation and service rules.
