SEDF Jobs in Karachi: Chief Financial Officer and Manager Procurement

Overview

Sindh Enterprise Development Fund (SEDF), Investment Department, Government of Sindh, invites qualified and experienced professionals to apply for two Karachi-based positions: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Manager Procurement. SEDF is a company established under Section 42 of the Companies Ordinance, 1984 (now Companies Act, 2017).

Available Positions

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

The CFO will be a key member of SEDF’s executive leadership team, overseeing financial management, budgeting, fund allocation, investment oversight, risk management and regulatory compliance. The position is responsible for the transparent and efficient use of public funds, subsidies, venture investments and administrative expenditure. It also covers financial accountability, fiscal discipline and compliance with applicable laws and the Public Sector Companies (Corporate Governance) Rules, 2013.

Qualification and experience:

• Membership of a recognized body of professional accountants, with at least five (05) years of relevant experience in Public Sector Companies having total assets of five billion rupees or more; or
• A Master’s degree in finance from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission, with at least ten (10) years of relevant experience in other Public Sector Companies.

Age limit: 50 Years.

Manager Procurement

The Manager Procurement will oversee procurement activities, including procurement planning, preparation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Expressions of Interest (EOIs), tendering, bid evaluation, contract management and supplier negotiations. The role requires sound knowledge of SPPRA and PPRA rules to support transparency, regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.

Qualification and experience: Master’s Degree in any field from an HEC Recognized Institute, along with Minimum (08) years of relevant experience in the procurement function of a Public Sector Organization. Extensive knowledge of SPPRA and PPRA rules is mandatory.

Age limit: 45 Years.
